Durham Business Group’s 35th Anniversary Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and held at Beamish Hall Country House Hotel on November 11, 2016, raised £1000 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and a further £1000 to be split equally among five member charities – Emmanuel House, Henry Dancer Days, North East Autism Society, St Cuthbert’s Hospice and The Percy Hedley Foundation.
The Durham Business Group 35th Anniversary Awards saw St Cuthbert’s Hospice named as Employer of the Year and Amber Healthcare picking up the New Business of the Year award. Durham Cathedral also won the Marketing Award for the memorable Durham Cathedral in LEGO.
Alison Gittins, CEO of Durham Business Group, said: “This was a special awards ceremony for Durham Business Group as it celebrated our 35th year in supporting local business and their successes – testament to how much talent we have in the region.
“However, it also highlighted the generosity of our member businesses in supporting good causes locally and we would like to thank everyone who donated to help us achieve this amount.”
