The Yorkshire Asian Business Association (YABA) is leading an evening celebrating the best of Yorkshire’s Asian business at its fourth annual awards in Bradford this week.
Taking place at the Cedar Court Hotel on Thursday 28th September, the YABA Awards Dinner will bring together leading members of the Asian business community from across Yorkshire and Humberside.
Hundreds of guests from around the region can expect delicious Asian fusion food, drink and entertainment as they toast the success of the Asian business community and celebrate Yorkshire’s diversity.
Shortlisted nominees include top talent from a wide variety of successful businesses based in Yorkshire, such as Janan, Euro Direct International and KPMG.
A panel of judges, made up of leading figures from the Asian community, including Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, now face some tough decisions to decide the winners.
Chairman of the Yorkshire Business Association, Amarjit Singh said: “We are delighted to be hosting our fourth annual celebration of Yorkshire’s Asian business community at our awards evening in Bradford this week.
“Our nominees come from a range of industries and businesses – new and emerging, small and large – all of whom make a huge contribution to Yorkshire and its proud legacy of
“It is set to be a very special evening, where everyone can come together to recognise the diversity of our region and the significant contribution that the Asian business community makes.”
YABA has been championing regional Asian businesses on a regional, national and international level since its formation in 2014.
The Asian business community makes a significant contribution, with a share of over 11% of new business Start-Ups nationally.
In addition, according to research published by the CBI, The British Asian community generates around 10% of the country’s GDP despite making up only 6% of the population.
