The awards have launched and businesses in the city now have the opportunity to be recognised for their achievements over the last year.
Now in its fourth year, the Cardiff Business Awards seek to showcase the best businesses in the capital at a prestigious gala dinner and awards ceremony to be held at City Hall on Friday, June 15th.
The Cardiff Business Awards 2018 is open to organisations that can demonstrate strong financial performance, innovation and exceptional customer experiences on a consistent basis.
NatWest is the main sponsor for the event, with other sponsors including Bluegg, CPS Group, Eversheds Sutherland, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Clearly PR & Marketing Communications, ICAEW, University of South Wales, Wales Environmental and Welsh Government.
Liz Brookes, co-founder of the Cardiff Business Awards, said: “The levels of success, ambition and achievement being shown by so many businesses in Cardiff continues to astound and cement the city’s place as a leading commercial centre for the UK.
“Cardiff plays a unique role within both the Welsh and wider-UK economy. These awards, the biggest of their kind in Wales, offer the unique opportunity to not only celebrate the vibrancy of the business sector but to shout about this as being a great city in which to start, run and grow a successful company.”
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, co-founder of the awards and Chair of the Judging panel, said: “With the number of entrants for these awards seeing a significant growth each year, the appetite for businesses within the capital to showcase their accomplishments is clear to see.
“Each year the bar is raised even higher and the 2018 awards will be no different. With Cardiff greatly benefitting from a level of investment not seen before, this truly is an exciting time to be a business in the capital.
“These awards will serve to celebrate and recognise the best businesses in the city and the people who make them what they are.”
“We have 62 offices worldwide and our Cardiff operation is the third largest - such is the importance we place on the capital as a major hub for delivering services to local, national and international clients.
“By supporting the Cardiff Business Awards, we are playing our part in helping to raise the profile of the city as a dynamic and fast-growing destination of choice for an increasing number of businesses."
Jason Grandin, Founder and CEO
“As a previous winner of the Employer of the Year, we have seen at first hand the benefit to entering and winning a Cardiff Business Award - both in terms of the prestige it brings but also the business benefits too.
“Cardiff is undergoing a significant and equally exciting period right now, with some great business stories coming out of the city.
“These awards will help to consolidate the reputation of the capital’s business community and serve as a great advertisement for what can and is being achieved.”
