Yorkshire accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott is celebrating the success of its dedicated payroll team which has added 71 clients since the start of the year, an increase of over 20% from the 2016-2017 financial year.
Headed by partner, Sarah Ashton, the team now provides payroll services for over 370 clients, processing over 44,000 payslips and around £18m worth of wages each month.
The 13-person team doubled its ranks last year and has two new members joining in January 2019. However, as it goes from strength to strength, the payroll team is continuing to look to recruit more people.
Payroll clients for the York and Leeds-based accountancy firm include ilke Homes, York City Knights and York Blind & Partially Sighted Society.
Commenting on the success of the payroll department, Sarah Ashton, said: “The team has worked tirelessly over the past eight months. We’re now processing more payslips each month than we ever have. The number of clients that we have added highlights the quality of the work that we provide, and the volume of payslips that we are processing shows the great level of trust placed upon Garbutt + Elliott by our clients.”
“Our payroll team has grown over the past year, we’ve added strength and depth, whilst still delivering the high-quality service that we have become renowned for. We intend to continue this level of growth as part of our expansion plans, bringing more clients onboard and recruiting more people to our team.”
To top off a great year Garbutt + Elliott’s payroll team were shortlisted in the CIPP awards in the National Payroll Provider category.
