CityBlock has opened its latest student accommodation development in Lancaster, despite main contractor, Titan, going into administration during the build phase.
CityBlock Penny Street, which has 70 en-suite rooms, is a welcome addition to the Lancaster skyline as the number of students attending Lancaster University increases year on year.
Situated on Penny Street, in the centre of Lancaster, the development is CityBlock’s fourth development in the city, with the company also currently owning and managing other buildings in Reading and Durham.
The building offers four different room types to suit all budgets, 100MB Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and on-site maintenance. The development has 24 hour security, further reassuring students. Inside the building, fully equipped communal areas allow students to socialise, creating a home away from home.
