The Birmingham-based distance-learning provider is celebrating a decade of providing award winning home study courses and tutor support.
Open study college began when, whilst working in the education industry, Mark Rutter spotted an opportunity to offer distance learning courses in a new way.
In August 2007, he founded Open Study College, and after years of hard work, determination and ambition, it has continued to grow at an impressive rate, becoming one of the UK’s leading distance learning providers.
The company has gone from strength to strength over the last decade with a team working tirelessly to provide over 300 courses to students around the country.
Since its inception, the college has helped over 60,000 students to improve their career prospects through a variety of courses and qualifications.
They have also been shortlisted for 16 industry awards, winning seven of them, including the Further Education College of the Year for 2017.
Samantha Rutter, chief operating officer of the college, said:
“The achievements and growth of the college is amazing and with over 60,000 students who have enrolled with us, we’re always looking to improve the delivery of our distance learning and making it easier for our students to achieve the qualifications they need around their busy lifestyle.”
The college celebrated its first decade with a summer party for staff, partner companies, and anyone else involved in the businesses success.
Open Study College is also giving something back to the community to mark ten years in business by supporting ten charities throughout the year.
Samantha continued: “When we first opened Open Study College, we never dreamt that it would become so successful!
“And, to reach our tenth anniversary is something that we are incredibly proud of. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported Open Study College over the last ten years, and have helped the college to become what it is today.
“We can’t wait to see what the next ten years holds!”
