Employers with payroll of over £3m have been paying a levy of 0.5% since 1 April 2017. This money may only be spent on apprenticeship training from an approved training provider.
Newcastle University has joined the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. We’re interested in talking to employers about what we could offer, principally at Levels 6 and 7 (Honours and Master’s degree level).
Apprentices have to be employees, but they don’t have to be 16-18-year-olds or new employees if they are being trained for a new role. We’re keen to discuss your requirements at our Degree Apprenticeship event.
