Wolverhampton businessman, Adieel Khalid, will open the city’s first Heavenly Desserts franchise on 20 July 2019 with support from HSBC UK.
Adieel, who has over 10 years’ commercial experience, has drawn on a six-figure finance facility from HSBC UK – secured to support the opening of his first franchise business – to install a brand new kitchen with top-of-the-line equipment and to fit-out the restaurant. In total, the opening will create 20 full and part-time local jobs.
The new dessert parlour will offer its guests a wide range of sweet treats, such as Heavenly Desserts signature waffles, pancakes, fondants and cakes. Adieel hopes the dessert parlour will become a go-to destination in Wolverhampton for sweet treats as well as create more job opportunities for the local community.
Commenting on the opening, Adieel Khalid, Franchisee Owner, Heavenly Desserts said:
“After several years working in business with my family, I wanted to venture out and start something on my own. It’s no secret that the food scene in the Midlands is thriving with consumers continually seeking out quality and convenient food and drink. Thanks to the support from my HSBC UK Relationship Manager, Erum Farooq, I have been able to open my dream business and Wolverhampton’s very first Heavenly Desserts café.”
Stephen Peart, HSBC UK’s Business Banking Area Director in the Black Country, said:
“Adieel has shown high-levels of entrepreneurship to successfully open his first franchise in his hometown of Wolverhampton. He acknowledged the huge demand for outstanding food and drink in the Midlands, and HSBC UK was happy to support him on his new journey. We look forward to working with Adieel as he looks to grow his franchising business.”
Heavenly Desserts was founded in 2008 and provides a wide range of luxury sweet treats. The business has outlets in Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Oxford and Liverpool and continues to expand through its franchise network.
