The innovative catering supplier, which makes it easy to order food platters online for team meetings, corporate events and working lunches has secured almost £1.9m.
The London-based start-up which launched in April 2017, scooped up the £1.9M as its parent company, West Hill Acquisitions Limited, announced the acquisition of Jeanie Marshal Foods Ltd.
Part of the acquisition was financed from existing shareholders, emphasizing strong support and trust in the OfficeServe concept.
Additionally, JMF accepted shares in the Group as partial acquisition payment, a clear vote of confidence for the future of the collaboration.
The majority of the investment is raised via the Enterprise Investment Scheme, a government-supported tax break to encourage investment funds to flow towards young companies set to become future champions.
Christoph Haschka, CEO of OfficeServe and West Hill Acquisitions, said: “We are excited to announce a further step in the establishment of a leading UK food services business, incorporating the products, skills and capabilities of JMF with the digital expertise of OfficeServe.
“This acquisition places OfficeServe in a Group with sales of approx. £10M with EBITDA in excess of £500K, and will enable the company to extend its product portfolio into hot food, significantly increasing its position with a more upmarket artisan food offering.
“Our strategy of revolutionising traditional office meeting catering by delivering on superb customer service, easy online ordering and premium food quality has struck a chord with companies across London and the South East.
“I am excited about the future — we have a number of great products to come to market soon.”
Uniquely, OfficeServe is not a catering marketplace and does not rely on third-party vendors to deliver food to its corporate clients.
OfficeServe controls the entire food supply chain and prepares food in their own SALSA and BRC food safety accredited kitchens, which produce well over 2,000 meals per day.
“Quality and reliability are of utmost importance to our customers,” continues Christoph Haschka.
“Office administrators are under pressure to order food on behalf of others with no room for mistakes.
“OfficeServe presents that critical balance of exciting, flavourful and reliable food, along with a guarantee of food safety.
“Sometimes elaborate, exotic meals are warranted at office meetings, but more often than not, our clients are looking for consistent quality that carries little risk and — most importantly — great customer service and accountability.”
