Independent craft beer company Seven Bro7hers will launch its second beerhouse at Middlewood Locks later this year – as it becomes the first major retailer to sign up to the development.
Seven Bro7hers Midldlewood Locks follows the Salford-based brewery’s successful flagship Ancoats Beerhouse and will provide the perfect location for residents to enjoy a selection of up 20 craft beers, ales and lagers, as well as a range of artisan spirits.
Opening in October, the beerhouse will also include a 100-cover restaurant space, serving home-cooked dishes and bar snacks, including Seven Bro7hers signature burgers, Yorkshire Pudding roast wraps and a selection of daily specials, all designed to pair with the beers on offer.
To celebrate the impending launch, Get Living, the build to rent operator behind New Maker Yards at Middlewood Locks, has teamed up with Seven Bro7ers to launch two new beers which will be available at the new location. Residents and beer lovers will be able to choose from a Vienna Lager or a Watermelon Wheat Beer, both of which will be available on draught and in cans.
Keith, of Seven Bro7hers, said, “Following the success of our first beerhouse in Ancoats, we have been looking for a second site to launch and Middlewood Locks offers the perfect location, right on the canal.
“We are very passionate about not only making great beer but also creating communities where everyone is welcome. We’ve been working closely with Get Living on the design of Seven Bro7hers Middlewood Locks to ensure it becomes a place for residents to come down and enjoy a drink with their friends and neighbours, as well as a space to host events for the wider community.”
Build-to-rent operator Get Living launched the first 275 homes for rent at the New Maker Yards scheme in Middlewood Locks this summer. The new neighbourhood offers the best of city living, being just a 10-minute walk from Spinningfields while enjoying a quaint canal-side setting.
Kim Quickfall, general manager at New Maker Yards by Get Living, added, “Get Living’s approach to creating brilliant big-city neighbourhoods, is to work with local and independent businesses who can help foster a sense of community – knowing that this is the key ingredient for Seven Bro7hers’ beer brewing, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to Middlewood Locks this autumn.”
