The new 13,382 sq ft unit will allow the firm to expand its product range and lower its lead times to the NHS and Blink Medical’s global distribution network.
The medical manufacturer agreed the 20-year lease deal with Birmingham-based chartered surveyors Johnson Fellows, and joint agents BNP Paribas, on the recently developed 57,000 sq ft Highlands Park.
Blink Medical currently manufactures a range of sterile, single-use surgigcal instruments for outpatient and theatre departments, distributing to 20 countries worldwide.
Roger Tyler, founder and managing director of Blink Medical said: "This new facility will enable us to continue to grow as a business, expanding our product range as well as reducing our lead times to both the NHS and our global distribution network.
"It will also enable us to begin our latest phase of local job creation as we will be looking to fill nine new positions within the organisation."
Two further units at the park were sold to a self-storage operator and an electrical wholesaler.
Mike Price, partner at Johnson Fellows and head of the industrial agency team, said: "Blink Medical Ltd was looking for new premises as it looks to grow its already established business and the developers, agents and clients worked closely with the team to bring it to Highlands Park," he said.
Jamie Hockaday, director of Graftongate which worked on the development, added: "We were confident that the Solihull area was ready for speculative development and this premium scheme has proven that to be the case.
"We are delighted to have attracted a company of Blink Medical Ltd’s calibre to Highlands Park and look forward to welcoming it to the estate."
