Enterprise Zone boosts Humber Enterprise Park

Enterprise Zone boosts Humber Enterprise Park

Government plans for a new Enterprise Zone in Humberside have provided a further boost to Humber Enterprise Park.

The Enterprise Park which was recently launched by LC Industrial, a tie-up between Lumina Real Estate Capital and Citivale, is set to reap the benefits of Enterprise Zone status.

The governments 24 Enterprise Zones offer businesses up to 100% business rate discount, simplified local authority planning and access to superfast broadband among many other benefits.

So far £2.5m has been spent on regenerating the Enterprise Park, which has been described as “a jewel in the Humber’s crown” with another £4.5m earmarked for further improvements.

It is estimated that 1,600 new and sustainable jobs will be created when the park is fully developed during the next five years.

The park includes 1.3 million sq ft of high-quality office and industrial space, 20 acres of development land and benefits from Enterprise Zone and Assisted Area Status offering significant incentives to attract new tenants.

James Appleton-Metcalfe, managing director of Citivale, said: “These Enterprise Zone incentives make a real difference.

“Humber Enterprise Park has always been viable, but we need to encourage occupiers to come here.

“With our fantastic facilities and superb location, coupled with these incentives, our development looks a very attractive option.”

Toby Vernon of CPP added: “Lumina Real Estate Capital & Citivale have a very clear and attractive vision for the Humber Enterprise Park, which will put Brough back on the map again.

“Apart from the first-class facilities on site, the well-located park is close to Brough Station, with trains running directly to London, and minutes away from the M62.

“The interest in the site, for both the offices and the industrial units, has already been extremely encouraging.”
