Following a successful year in which Cramlington-based SITS Group and Pivotal Networks saw turnover exceed £6m, the companies are looking to continue their strong growth in 2016.
SITS was named in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 last year and was also named the fastest growing medium business of 2015 for companies with an annual turnover of between £5m and £15m at the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 Awards.
The year also brought new clients, including one of the biggest names in the insurance industry, Covéa Insurance, along with further industry recognition with the award of gold standard certification from top storage provider, Nimble Storage.
Commercial director Phil Cambers believes a cross sector client base and a growing, national reputation for customer service and technical expertise have helped drive the companies’ growth, “and we will, of course, build on that in the year ahead,” he said.
He added: “Our clients recognise that investment in their IT infrastructure can give them a considerable advantage over their competitors and they know that by working with us means they are in the safest of hands given our track record and industry recognition.
“Businesses want to work with us as they can’t afford to compromise on quality and our heritage of never losing a client is something we incredibly proud of over the last 7 years.
“I think part of the reason for this is that rather than try and be all things to all men we always saw the value of remaining specialist and it has served us and our clients very well.
“Although the companies have expanded quickly they have done so strategically and our move to larger premises was very much in anticipation of the way in which the companies will develop.
“Buying our own building also felt like the right thing to do and it very much plants our roots in the North East despite the fact that we operate nationally and internationally.”
