The new Boxpark Croydon pop-up mall opening in September is set to provide a major boost to local businesses in the area.
Boxpark is constructed of stripped and refitted shipping containers, creating unique, low cost, premises for small businesses.
Situated next to East Croydon station, the new retail concept will be focused entirely on street food, drink and entertainment, in contrast to its sister site Boxpark Shoreditch, which carries retail brands such as Gap and Kiehls.
Local Croydon businesses The Cronx and Yumn Brasserie are just two of the companies set to benefit from the scheme when they open up at the site later this year.
The duo will be joined by burger and beer chain MEATliquor, The Breakfast Club, Mama Lan, Indi-go, Wine&Deli and Viet Do, a Vietnamese restaurant run by Kate Moss’ brother Nick.
Boxpark’s development director Matthew McMillan said: "We are delighted to have some of the capital’s freshest and most exciting food concepts alongside brilliant local operators bursting with new ideas.
"With a core focus on the best street food around, Boxpark Croydon will be without doubt London’s most vibrant new dining destination."
