Document Data signs up with Sage

Document Data, which specialises in office convergence technology, has become a Sage partner. The East Kilbride headquartered business will sell, initially, the software giant’s widely popular Sage Line 50 to its extensive customer base throughout Scotland and beyond.

The fast growing Lanarkshire business has been working for some time with Sage but now entering a formal partnership arrangement can give a boost to sales for both businesses according to Document Data’s IT director, Ben Whitehead.

He said: “We have completed the first part of the formal accreditation with Sage with a complete company-wide detailed foundation and sales training package delivery by Sage at our new showroom in Eurocentral.

“This will be follow shortly with an in-depth training program on both Sage Line 50 and Line 200 for our technical staff, including me, to offer a full range of configuration, customisation, support and training options to our customers.

“Our aspiration is to become experts in how Sage 50 enhances our existing services to our customers and to extend this expertise over the coming years and months to the Sage 200 accounting package used by our bigger customers.

“In acquiring this additional knowledge of accounting practice we believe we will develop further our credibility with customers and help them reduce costs to become more profitable.

“We are looking also to develop a data connector app which, alongside the Sage products, will give our customer base yet more functionality, making it easier still for them to replace mundane tasks with 21st Century technology.”

Document Data Group which expanded recently into additional 2000 sq. ft. premises at Eurocentral, alongside the M8, has recently undergone a period of rapid expansion.

Sales in the year to December 2015 grew to £3.3m, up from £2.2 million in 2014 and £1.6m in 2013.
