Hull firms can capitalise on Venturefest opportunity

Firms in Hull are being given the chance to learn about how Venturefest Yorkshire can help to grow their business, as the team visit C4DI to talk investment.

Venturefest Yorkshire is a one day festival with a clear remit to nurture business growth in the region, helping innovators develop their ideas and helping entrepreneurs get investment.

Taking place at York Racecourse on November 16th, the event is a combination of motivating speakers, workshops and exhibition space from some of Yorkshire’s most inspirational businesses.

This year’s Venturefest will include an investment competition called Pitchfest, and an Innovation Showcase where firms can celebrate their achievements. Both are open for any business or individual in the region to get involved with – to get support to develop ideas, or to get investment to grow.

Steve Brown, MD of Make It York who are organising the event, told BQ: “Businesses should come along to understand the opportunities that Venturefest Yorkshire opens up.

“The event, later in the year, is aimed at innovators, entrepreneurs and investors and so anyone with these interests could get engaged. We are doing ‘roadshows’ all around Yorkshire and we are coming to Hull to ensure that the city and East Yorkshire is fully on board with what we are trying to achieve.”

At Hull’s roadshow event the team will be telling you all about the competitions, and all the other ways you can participate, giving you lots of time to apply and take advantage of what’s on offer. Firms can see a full preview of the event and understand how they can get engaged.

The event takes place at C4Di at 12 noon, this Wednesday 17th August.
