As a bank that morphs itself to customer habits, Atom has shaken up the financial services sector since its launch in April.
Named by leading business services and accountancy firm KPMG as one of the top 10 fintech businesses in Europe, the digital-only bank is changing the way people and businesses manage their money.
Now, in partnership with BQ, the bank will be seeking out and highlighting those entrepreneurial, innovative businesses from across the UK that are doing business the Atom way, as part of ‘The Atom Collection’.
The collaboration will also see Atom Bank partner with BQ to deliver the BQ National Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Awards on 22 February 2017.
Craig Iley, managing director of Business Banking at Atom Bank said: "As a relatively new start up ourselves, we appreciate and understand the importance of entrepreneurs in the UK and the value they add to their respective communities, in terms of both economic and social value.
"It goes without saying that we are extremely excited to be partnering with BQ to highlight those often unsung businesses that rightly deserve recognition and are challenging the ‘norm’."
BQ managing director, Bryan Hoare, added: "As a dedicated supporter of entrepreneurship, BQ wholeheartedly believes in those individuals that are challenging the traditional way of doing things. We focus on people – the BQ community – and how their differences make a real and tangible contribution to economic growth across the UK.
"That’s why we are delighted to be teaming up with Atom Bank to celebrate and inspire entrepreneurship across the UK.
"By breaking away from the constraints of the past and embracing the mobile technology of tomorrow, Atom has really shaken up the financial services sector.
"Their ability to break the mould of one of the world’s most traditional industries is what inspired us to launch The Atom Collection, shining a light on those extraordinary businesses helping change the way we do business."
Atom Bank will also be powering the BQ+ Entrepreneur Fund, run by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, as part of the brand new BQ+ service, with more details to be announced soon.
Bryan added: "We are really excited to launch the BQ+ Entrepreneur Fund alongside Atom Bank; it’s a new initiative which we hope will benefit entrepreneurs across the UK.
"As we continue to celebrate and inspire entrepreneurship to help businesses succeed and grow, this is the ideal next step in progressing with BQ’s mission.
"As the partnership between BQ and Atom Bank grows in the coming months, expect more collaboration between our companies around initiatives focusing on innovation and change, highlighting even more people doing business differently."
