Our mission is to help our customers improve the efficiency and emissions of their vehicles and machinery through smart systems electrification.

What are the best and worst parts of trying to be innovative in your business?

Best part is when we work with customers and supply partners and are able to identify technology solutions that will provide real benefits to the customer and provide enriched human values.

Worst part is dealing with markets and customers that do not value technology and innovation and are simply seeking to de-value our value proposition and commoditise.

What are the biggest challenges you face?

Attracting and retaining the best engineers to our region.

Where do you get support and advice to help you run your business?

AVID receives support and advice from a variety of sources to help run our business including UKT&I, LCV WG, APC, Innovate UK, NEAA, etc.

Where do you see your company in five years’ time?

With the significant projected future growth in electrification of vehicles (especially Hybrid and Electric), AVID will be at the forefront of developing and supplying technology solutions from customised electric water pumps to full vehicle electrified systems integration. AVID will be a major technology supplier to commercial vehicle markets.

What would you tell businesses who are hoping to be more innovative?

Innovation is the key driver to successfully differentiate your business from the competition. Market leaders will always seek innovation to add value and sustain their position of strength. Technology innovation means that you can offer unique product solutions, develop deep technology partnerships with customers and command premium prices.
