A dedicated app for law firms and their clients, The Link App is the brainchild of former BBC The Apprentice star Lauren Riley.
A qualified solicitor herself, she witnessed first-hand that changes were needed in the legal industry, with customer service at the heart of it.
By utilising a dedicated secure channel of communication, the app helps law firms keep clients in the loop at the touch of a button, giving them an all-round improved experience.
Having grew up on the Fylde coast, Riley went on to live in Manchester for years and attended law school in the city.
She said: “The long-term goal is about revolutionising outdated client communication for the UK’s 12,000 or so law firms.
“Manchester has a place in my heart and I am delighted that its residents will be able to keep up to date with their legal matters via The Link App.”
The start-up has an impressive advisory board made up of various industry experts including Sir Nigel Knowles, former global co-chairman of DLA Piper.
Speaking about the app, Knowles said: “At a time when smart working is essential, an effective method of communication can be a critical source of competitive advantage. The Link App is that critical source.”
The app has already built up a solid foundation of users and is generating positive noises from both press and from customers.
