The mobile platform connects the various elements of the nightlife scene in London, allowing users to discover the best party in town in real-time, live- broadcast their night to other users, book events and guest lists, get access to venues, and meet like-minded people.
Venue owners can communicate, promote, and engage with users directly through Party Hype, ensuring more successful nights for partygoers and nightlife businesses alike.
Anna, originally from Poland, founded the app after falling in love with the London nightlife scene while studying for her economics degree at UCL.
She was inspired to create Party Hype in response to a lack of genuine, real-time information on London events.
Anna knew she needed some real data to base the business on, so she went ‘undercover’ for six months working as a club promoter for some of London’s biggest nightclubs, gathering intelligence from venues and partygoers alike. During this time, she was building a prototype version of Party Hype with her brother to test the concept – and the test worked.
In the March 2016, after meeting a number of investors, Party Hype accepted a seed investment offer of £500,000 from an angel investor and a shareholder member of the Bacardi family.
"The UK nightlife economy is worth £66bn per year but it is in decline," says Anna.
"There is an increasing disconnection felt by city dwellers, and this division of the leisure sector is long overdue a tech revolution. For partygoers in this hyper-connected age, information on nights out is often all too static, and therefore not representative of reality.
"We enable partygoers to find the best party on a particular night – as defined by their peers on the app."
The app will initially launch in iOS in London before launching on other operating systems and in additional cities over 2017.
