Innovative businesses from across the South of England are being invited to attend a free event to learn more about protecting their intellectual property.
Award-winning commercial IP consulting firm Metis Partners is hosting the event, which is focused on IP strategy, at Pinsent Masons’ London office on 7 February.
Whether it’s an IP strategy focused on boosting the exit valuation of a business, improving your fundraising outcomes or getting a return on investment from your IP expenditure to date; the event will explore whether or not your business can afford not to have an IP strategy.
Stephen Robertson, managing director of Metis Partners, said: “Creating and developing an IP strategy is of paramount importance to any business looking to leverage its IP assets.
"Possessing such a strategy enables companies to maximise their exit value, raise finance, protect their IP from theft, manage future and present IP filings, and receive an ROI for their IP.
"The upcoming IP100 events in London and Glasgow are fantastic places to learn and develop your skills in this area, and I would strongly recommend attending in order to take full advantage of the superb line-up of speakers and networking opportunities that will be available to attendees.”
Bryan Hoare, managing director of BQ, added: “As co-founders of the IP100 we are delighted to bring another one of our key events to London which further demonstrates the breadth of coverage and interest the IP100 is now receiving right across the UK."”
The events are hosted as part of the IP100 Club, which is supported by the IP League Table – the annual report which profiles and ranks innovative companies, highlighting those who have invested significantly in their IP in the form of IP creation, IP management policies, R&D activities and IP commercialisation.
The IP100 now encompasses over 120 IP-rich companies, many of which have used their IP more effectively since joining, and secured investment, accelerated growth or boosted the exit valuation of their business. The applications for inclusion in the 2017 report are now open and you can register here.
