The deal sees WRL Glass Media further increase its global footprint having already landed deals to supply companies in Australia, Greece, Estonia, Iceland and Cyprus.
Following an initial order for 24 tonnes, WRL has gone onto establish a strong relationship with Tehnični Sistemi, and has since delivered a further three large orders.
Gareth Godwin, manager at WRL, said: “A growing number of orders are being received from companies outside of the UK.
“Our abrasives, which have ISO and PAS quality accreditations, are commonly recognised as the best glass-based products in industry, and have been in high demand from environmentally conscious customers.
“The quality of our final product, combined with a competitive pricing structure and excellent customer care has been key to capitalising on the encouraging trend, which has seen the use of glass media increase significantly.”
This is yet another success story for the company which has this year recorded an increase in sales of 81%, made possible by its investment in its facilities in South Bank, Middlesbrough.
The new 32,000 sq ft Glass Beneficiation Plant is part of a £3.2m investment supported by a £500,000 grant from the Let’s Grow fund.
To cater for the increasing demand, the company has also built an additional 5,000 sq ft £450,000 glass clean up extension, which opened in the spring.
