Yorkshire exporters to reveal secrets of success

Three Yorkshire exporters are set to share their export journey, offer insights and reveal their top tips for local businesses at a free event later this month.

The event hosted by UKTI Yorkshire aims to help grow the regional economy by helping businesses fulfil their export potential.

Being held at the KITS Training Centre in Brighouse on 20 January, the event is aimed at CKMA and BAMA members and businesses in the manufacturing sector looking to start exporting.

The companies speaking at the event include:

Manasamitra - An arts, dance and musical organisation that deliver transformational cultural events, exhibits and shows. By developing mutual, cross-cultural partnerships, the business has a range of customers across Scandinavia and is also now building relationships across Asia.

Caldervale Technology – Manufacturer of equipment used to weld plastic pipes and, by trading on the strength of Brand Britain, has customers across the globe. It follows existing customers to new markets or identifies distributors in key markets.

Witt UK Group – A global leader in the manufacture of industrial fans. With a 65 year history, the business works with clients around the world and has a world-leading reputation for delivering expert and high quality solutions for industry.

Regional director of UKTI Yorkshire and Humber, Mark Robson, said: “Exports are crucial to the future prosperity of this region and our country.

“Brand Britain is in high demand across the globe and our businesses should be making the most of these opportunities.

“This event will allow businesses to hear how their neighbours are finding growth in international trade, learn how they can do the same and also meet like-minded businesses who can help them on their export journey.

“Without exports your business isn’t fulfilling its growth potential. International trade isn’t difficult, it’s just different and we hope this event will help inspire more to take their first steps into a new market.”
