Warrington-based ICC was launched back in 1996 by directors Dave and Wendy Maisey with the aim of providing EMV (known as Chip & PIN) test and certification tools.
20 years down the line, the company now employs 27 people and boasts offices in Georgia, USA and Toronto, Canada, and is continuing to grow.
So much so, that it has been hailed by Her Majesty the Queen in this week’s Queen’s Award for Enterprise winning its second Queen’s Award for International Trade.
The company previously won the award back in 2012 when it was hailed for its ability to penetrate overseas markets, in particular in North America.
Dave Maisey, CEO at ICC Solutions and co-founder, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win our third Queen’s Award for Enterprise, especially in this year which is our 20th Anniversary and we celebrate HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday.
“For 20 years, our company has embraced innovation combined with a clear vision, commitment and expertise to deliver highly efficient test tools for the global payments industry.
“Since 2012, our export sales have exponentially increased as we continue to take our innovative technology to a highly competitive sector and deliver significant market share.
“This award reflects that ICC Solutions remains fully committed to delivering excellence to our international clients, and we’re delighted to play a significant role in helping to further enhance British exporting.”
Wendy Maisey, customer relationship director and co-founder, added: “We’re delighted again to receive the recognition of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
“Our turnover attributable to export continues to increase significantly even compared to our outstanding export turnover when we won previously in 2012.
“It’s a confirmation of our vision as directors to be best in class at what we do, and also a great reflection on our team who work tirelessly to ensure we remain competitive, provide excellent customer service and are world class when it comes to innovation in our industry.”
