EMS-managed Export Hub helps 3,000

Chester-based Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) revealed that close to 3,000 UK businesses have visited the Exporting is GREAT Export Hub, which it has managed in partnership with UK Trade & Investment since November.

In total, there have been 20,000 applications from UK businesses to export opportunities at www.exportingisgreat.gov.uk.

To celebrate the success of Exporting is GREAT since launch in November 2015, staff from EMS including CEO Keith Austin, attended a special partner reception alongside minister for trade and investment, Lord Price and UK Trade & Investment chief executive, Catherine Raines.

During the past five months EMS has supported the Exporting is GREAT roadshow by managing the logistics and schedule of the Export Hub which uses the latest technology to connect businesses with export opportunities, support and guidance to start their export journey.

Lord Price said: “We have a proud history as a trading nation. The development of digital technology has the potential to give even the smallest company a global reach and access to attractive new markets.

“This government is committed to supporting 100,000 more UK businesses to export by 2020. Exporting is GREAT Week is the perfect time to inspire companies to take advantage of the world of opportunity out there and the global demand for British products, skills and expertise.”
