Scottish drone specialist expands into Europe

A Scottish drone manufacturer has expanded into Europe after signing a deal with Portuguese engineering service provider and contractor Construcao e Manutencao Electromecanica (CME).

Cyberhawk will now provide its cloud based asset management software, iHawk, alongside CME’s local knowledge and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) solution to Portuguese speaking markets.

The new partnership comes as a boost for Cyberhawk’s growing global expansion plans.

iHawk technology allows access to inspection data and imagery, which has been captured by Cyberhawk’s UAVs, using a map-based interface to show location.

Craig Roberts, CEO at Cyberhawk, said: “This partnership is a significant step forward in increasing our presence in Europe and in deploying our Asset Management Partnership (AMP) business model.

“CME’s local knowledge and presence will allow us to cost effectively deliver our reliable, proven and industry leading solution in the electricity utilities, renewables, infrastructure and petrochemical industries.”

Francisco Pintor, general manager at CME said: “The introduction of UAVs to our existing portfolio, particularly within our infrastructure inspection services, is a natural progression which increases the reliability, detail, efficiency and safety of our operations.

“This partnership continues to position CME as a pioneer and differentiator, thanks to Cyberhawk’s wide-ranging experience, high quality skills base and asset management software platform, With Cyberhawk, we will go higher!”
