Proxicon provide proximity marketing, real time tracking and indoor navigation solutions across education, infrastructure, healthcare and retail, a cloud based service which enables the user to track information relating to their sector and gain a better understanding of trends and demographics.
Quuppa, based in Espoo, Finland, supply real-time location systems that use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to determine the location of a person or object within a few centimetres.
Tom Kawka, managing director at Proxicon, said: “We are ecstatic to be working in partnership with Quuppa to further extend our service into the international marketplace.
“This collaboration will enable us to target new sectors and demonstrate the benefits of monitoring behaviour and optimising products or services in response to how users engage with it.”
The on-going partnership will enable Proxicon to extend its services into the broader commercial market, by integrating their cloud software into Quuppa’s physical hardware; providing a 360-degree tracking service suitable for a variety of industries.
Kimmo Kalliola, CEO and co-founder at Quuppa, said: “We are looking forward to working with Proxicon in building business critical applications for multiple industry segments, which are powered by Quuppa’s real-time accurate location systems.”

They join the Intelligent Mobility quarter and will co-locate with commercial partners, Centro and the Transport Systems Catapult, to refine and extend its offering into a broader commercial market.
