New contract a walkover for Duo UK

New contract a walkover for Duo UK

Manchester packaging manufacturer and supplier Duo UK has won a contract with Ireland’s largest independent footwear retailer, Donaghys Shoes.

Duo UK will design, manufacture and supply branded packaging for the Irish shoe retailer who stocks well known brands such as UGG, Gabor, Irregular Choice, and Barker amongst many others.

Donaghys Shoes has previously never used a branded mailing bag before, however after realizing that buying in bulk meant a branded bag cost the same as an off-the-shelf plain grey bag, e-commerce director Peter McVeigh described the decision to switch as a “no brainer”.

He said: “What impressed us most about Duo UK was their passion, creativity, and positive attitude to finding a packaging solution that worked for us. They opened our eyes to how beneficial branded packaging is for our customers being able to recognize that the parcel that’s landed on their doorstep is from Donaghys Shoes.

“We’re looking forward to working much more closely with Duo UK in the future, their price, short lead time and high quality product has impressed us to date and I’m sure will continue to impress us moving forward.”

Zoe Brimelow, brand director at Duo UK added: “It’s great for us to work with such a recognisable brand in Ireland, and we’re thrilled that Donaghys Shoes has chosen to take the step to using branded packaging when it sends out customer orders.

“Branded packaging is an important step in ensuring customers are confident in the brand their buying into when they receive their packaging – not only does it look polished and professional but studies show branded packaging also increases customer satisfaction so it’s a win-win all round!”

The new contract means Duo UK now counts yet another well-known fashion brand as a client as Donaghys Shoes joins the ranks of JD Williams, ASOS, and Tesco who are also Duo UK customers.
