The Department for International Trade (DIT) is hosting a series of free events across the South East of England to encourage more businesses to export.
DIT is hoping to attract new exporters that have the ambition and capacity to grow sales in international markets and to encourage non-exporters to consider exporting as a viable opportunity for growth.
The Kick-Start events coincide with the Exporting is GREAT campaign and form part of the government’s aspiration to get 100,000 more UK companies exporting as of 2020.
The events will delve into everything from the benefits of exporting and overcoming challenges to looking at how you can reach new customers online and raise finance to help kickstart your export journey.
Lewis Scott, regional director for the South East at the DIT, said: “Economic research consistently shows that exporting helps companies grow and here in the South East the DIT is determined to help local companies succeed in the global race.
“We’re already working with thousands of companies across the region to do just that. And we want to help a great many more.
“The demand for your product is out there and our free no obligation Kick-Start event series, part of the government’s Exporting is GREAT campaign to get 100,000 more UK companies exporting by 2020, could be your route to reaping the benefits from that demand.”
