IFL forges French connection

A Coleshill-based freight forwarding business has forged a new partnership with a major French company.

International Forwarding Limited (IFL) says its partnership with Safram France will broaden its European transport affiliate network for customers shipping to and from France.

The new partnership will include main hubs in Paris in the north, Lyon in the Rhône-Alpes in the south-east and Le Pontet in Avignon in the south.

Customers will also benefit from Safram’s wider network of sites, including Begles (Bordeaux) in the west, La Roche sur Foron (near Geneva) and Grasse (near Cannes) in the south-east.

Rob Pike, managing director of International Forwarding Limited, said: "We are very pleased to be able to offer a flagship French service to both new and existing customers with increased departure frequencies, servicing the whole of France.

"Technological advances also bring benefits, for example, the use of handheld scanners to collect and upload proof of delivery paperwork in real time.

"At IFL, we constantly strive to offer our customer base the very best levels of customer service, and this extended service offering will allow us to do just that."

Loic Cidolit, general manager, Safram France, said: "Our transport company receives the support of a competitive network. In Great Britain, our partnership with International Forwarding Ltd is seeking to continue our search for high service quality, and to give our customers our full and undivided attention at all times.

"Thanks to its professional staff, IFL is offering us tailor-made solutions for each customer. Without doubt, this collaboration will reinforce our market share and is just the beginning of a strong partnership."
