Gin listing gives travellers a taste of Edinburgh

Edinburgh Gin has secured its first listing at World Duty Free’s Edinburgh Airport store.

Customers will be able to purchase a bottle of the flagship Edinburgh Gin at Scotland’s capital Edinburgh, and take a "taste of Edinburgh home" with them.

Andy Lane, Travel Retail Director of Ian Macleod Distillers, parent company of Edinburgh Gin said: "We are delighted to be working with World Duty Free and announce our first listing at Edinburgh Airport.

"We are frequently asked if customers can buy Edinburgh Gin at the airport and I am delighted to say that now you can.

"As Scotland’s busiest airport, being able to buy Edinburgh Gin there makes perfect sense for travellers looking for a quality Scottish gin to purchase on their way home."

World Duty Free Liquor category buying manager UK, Nigel Sandals, adds: "Offering passengers the chance to indulge in premium products specific to the local market helps ensure we’re continually providing the ultimate airport shopping experience.

"Edinburgh Gin has already been hugely popular amongst travellers at Edinburgh Airport and is a fantastic addition to our wide spirits range. We look forward to working with Edinburgh Gin and developing our relationship further."

Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh Airport’s Chief Executive, said: "It is fantastic to see Edinburgh Gin on the shelves at the World Duty Free store in Edinburgh Airport.

"Scotland’s vast array of incredible produce deserves to be celebrated and we are totally committed to helping to promote Scottish goods and exports wherever possible."
