The hotel, which welcomed 30 local business people to the lobby’s launch on Tuesday, has transformed the traditional hotel lobby by combining the front desk, bar, lounge and business centre into one space which allows business people to relax, network, eat and work in one cohesive space.
The ‘Open Lobby’ concept has been established by considering how people use space at home in order to give hotel guests the most flexibility possible.
Guests can work in the new media lounge, where they can be inspired by meeting other travellers and sharing ideas.
The 24/7 To Go Café, which houses a Starbucks, forms part of the Open Lobby and has been designed to give guests the flexibility to eat in or take away.
Nicola Corfield, director of Sales added: "Our Open Lobby is a space where local business people can meet and work, as well as being somewhere that our many regular guests can feel like they are home-from-home.
"Our Café To Go offers our meeting delegates a more flexible food and beverage offering, as well as being a hub for local residents to enjoy a Starbucks and a cake."
