SMEs in Kent will soon be able to apply for interest free loans courtesy of a new programme launched by Kent County Council.
The funds lent by Kent County Council will be made available over the next five years. The money has been given to the council by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership.
The Innovation Investment Loan programme launches on 1 August, making £1.36m available in the first round. The deadline is five weeks later on 2 September.
The fund aims to encourage lending from the private sector to ease uncertainty following the referendum result.
Companies can express an interest by emailing InnovationLoan@kent.gov.uk
