Boudavida is the brainchild of Anabel Sexton, a keen activist for women’s sport who has held non-executive roles at England Netball and the Sport & Recreation Alliance.
With a strong background in sports marketing, Anabel has used her industry experience to create a range of 12 items including leggings, t-shirts, sports bras and jackets.
Identifying a gap in the market for an active wear range conceived by ‘real women for all women,’ the brand aims to combine function and fashion.
Anabel said: “The range has been a long time in development - it’s something that I am incredibly passionate about.
“We need to encourage women and girls to get active and promote the benefits exercise has on our minds as well as our bodies.
“By providing a range of affordable, stylish and comfortable sports and active wear, we aim to inspire women to be brave and bold and achieve their own, personal goals.”
With women’s participation in sports and physical activity finally on the increase according to recent Sport England figures, Boudavida aims toboost this positive trend by donating 5% of all sales to worthwhile female athletes, projects, charities and campaigns.
Customers will choose where the money goes from the three grant options available each month.
Initially a UK based eCommerce business, Boudavida anticipates a high street presence in the first five years.
