Mr. Singh’s started off as one man and his children manufacturing up their own range of sauces from the shed of their East London family home back in 2008.
Launched by Popa Singh (Pops), a foodie turned entrepreneur, he wasn't satisfied with the quality of chilli sauces on the market - so he set about creating his own.
After rummaging through the kitchen, a lot of trial and error (and constant apologies to his wife for making such a mess), Mr. Singh's original chilli sauce was born.
Fast forward 10 years and the company now supplies the likes of Sainsbury's, Ocado, Booths, Asda, Londis, Tesco, Selfridges and a plethora of independent retailers.
Boasting over 12,000 followers on social media and with sales year-on-year for the past three years doubling, the business has grown exponentially.
In order to continue growing the business, the family decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign via Seedrs in a bid to raise £95,000.
The campaign proved a major success and in just 10 days raised £124,313 from 169 private investors.
The funding will now help the family firm invest in a major marketing campaign, increase its headcount and will fund new product development.
Speaking about the campaign, CEO Kuldip Sing told BQ: "My family and I are overwhelmed to have overfunded our Seedrs campaign in only 10 days.
"For a business which started in a shed to being supported by so many people is deeply appreciated.
"As our campaign has closed, we will now concentrate on aggressively building our brand and winning more distribution to have our products sold all over the country."
Mr. Singh’s growth since its launch has also been aided by its quirky digital marketing campaigns which have proved a huge success.
A particular highlight has been their funny music videos, some of which have garnered over a million views.
Their latest is the ‘Fresh Prince of chilli sauce’ video, which you can see below:
