Founded in 2006, Sinnis Motorcycles initially started trading from a small unit on Brighton’s Ocean View Business Park.
Nine years on, having secured contracts to supply dealers across the UK, the company had outgrown its premises in Brighton and decided it was time to expand.
Having banked with HSBC since 2006, Sinnis turned to the bank in a bid to raise funding to help fund its much needed expansion.
HSBC provided Sinnis with a £1.6m funding package. This has seen the business invest in a new showroom and trading space, as well as open a new on site coffee shop. The larger premises will also allow the business to take on up to seven new members of staff.
Daqi Fan, owner of Sinnis Motorcycles, said: “Our previous site in Brighton consisted of a small office and workshop, with two separate warehouses to hold our stock.
“This wasn’t the most efficient way for us to operate so we worked closely with HSBC to find a space that would bring our operations under one roof and offer our customers a much better experience.
“Our new premises have transformed the way we work, allowing us to really showcase the bikes we have on offer, hold greater amounts of stock and increase trading.
“Our latest expansion wouldn’t have been possible without the support and funding from HSBC. Throughout the process of purchasing the new site we have been really impressed with the bank’s advice and guidance, which will ensure we meet our ambitions in the next chapter for our business.”
Victoria Mutter, HSBC’s area director in East Sussex and Gatwick, added: “We have a decade-long partnership with Sinnis and, more recently, the company reached a point where it needed to find a new and improved space from which it could operate.
“The latest funding from HSBC has given Sinnis the flexibility to find and purchase a site which will best suit its needs and expansion plans in the long run.”
