Deutsche Bank has announced that it has signed a pre-let agreement with Landsec for a new London HQ at 21 Moorfields on a 25-year lease.
The bank previously announced in March that it had entered into exclusive negotiations with the developer over the lease which is conditional on planning permission.
Landsec has worked closely with Deutsche Bank on the design of a 564,000 sq ft building. The bank will retain flexibility over the amount of space it will occupy in the new building and has committed to take a minimum of 469,000 sq ft under the deal.
Staff are due to begin transferring to the building from the second half of 2023.
The move underlines the bank’s commitment to the City of London and the importance it attaches to being an employer of choice in the capital.
It will advance the bank’s strategic goals of increasing efficiency, reducing complexity and strengthening links between the business divisions and infrastructure functions.
The new building will offer higher quality space and strong transport links. It will be within walking distance of Winchester House and located above the new Crossrail station planned for Moorgate, with links to major rail and Underground lines.
