Maxims Casino Club in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
CBRE has been appointed to bring the casino to market on behalf of current owners Genting Intl.
Widely regarded as one of London’s most exclusive casinos, Maxims benefits from being the only dedicated ‘high end’ casino outside of Mayfair’s Golden Triangle.
Genting Intl has recently carried out a multi-million pound refurbishment of the Grade II listed club, which was originally built as a house in 1862 for John Forster, the wealthy biographer, and close friend to Charles Dickens.
The famous novelist often frequented the property which housed a renowned library, the contents of which are now on display at the nearby Victoria and Albert Museum.
The property has not materially altered since these times and the minstrel gallery is still visible in the “Dickens Room,” now a private gaming salon.
The club has played host to movie stars, billionaires and royals over its illustrious history.
