AquaPhysical founder Leila Francis Coleman has been crowned BQ's ‘Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year’ for the London & the South region.
Leila Francis Coleman was one of seven winners of emerging entrepreneur awards for the UK, announced at last night’s award show in Newcastle’s Boiler Shop.
Bringing a new product to market is always a risk, but it was one Leila Francis Coleman was confident was worth taking when she launched AquaPhysical.
Launched in 2015, the company invented the world's first floating exercise mat and now sells to customers in over 50 countries across the globe.
Hosted by BQ and powered by Atom Bank, the awards bring together entrepreneurs from across the UK with the challenge of identifying individuals who, in their view, are a next generation entrepreneur.
Thomas Peschken, lecturer & programme leader for MBA and MSc Global Marketing at GCU London who sponsored this award, said: "It was simply inspiring to listen to the entrepreneurs presenting their stories. I was excited about being involved and announcing the regional winner for London & the South.
"It was fantastic to see our regional winner Leila Francis Coleman with AquaPhysical continue to be named emergent entrepreneur of the year nationally. We are really proud to have been involved as regional sponsor supporting the initiative. It was a great event to be part of."
