Sky CP, a subsidiary of the TV giant, is the latest company to relocate from the City to Essex with the opening of a new office in Brentwood.
Sky CP has signed a 15-year lease for Stone Cross, a 40,000 sq ft office building in Brentwood, with an annual rent of £1.1m.
The Sky subsidiary designs and manufactures Sky set top boxes which were previously manufactured by Amstrad, also previously based in Brentwood, until it was bought by Sky.
Sky will move its research and development and office operation from its current base to the Brentwood site.
Alex Aitchison, a director at Boultbee Brooks Real Estate, said: "We are very pleased to have let Stone Cross ahead of the existing tenant’s upcoming lease expiry, which is testament to the strength of the building’s location and excellent car parking provision.”
The company joins the likes of Shawbrook Bank and Bibby Financial Services who have also recently relocated to Brentwood.
