Essex packaging specialist, Safe Packaging, has relocated to bigger premises and purchased new state-of-the-art machinery following a £150,000 equipment finance package.
The company, founded by Fatih Hassolyu, manufactures and distributes packaging materials across the UK and has seen substantial growth since its inception in 2010. Having outgrown its previous premises, Safe Packaging has used a part of its £150,000 funding from HSBC UK to lease a new 18,000 sq. ft. unit in Romford’s Newton Industrial Estate, providing a far larger and better suited space for its evolving needs.
The remaining funds have allowed the business to purchase three new manufacturing machines that assemble cardboard core and edge protectors. This new equipment is set to increase productivity and capacity by 30%.
HSBC UK’s funding has also enabled Safe Packaging to increase its workforce and take on three new members of staff, adding to its existing 10 strong-team.
Fatih Hassoloyu, CEO at Safe Packaging, said: “I launched Safe Packaging soon after completing my business degree as my first venture into the corporate world, so it’s very rewarding to see it doing so well. Thanks to HSBC UK’s support and the guidance of our Relationship Manager Amran Miah, we have been able to increase our expert workforce and purchase new machinery and our prospects for future growth are looking great.”
James Patterson, HSBC UK’s area director for London, said: “In the space of eight years Safe Packaging has gone from a start-up to a well-respected business with a high turnover. As a supplier to major packaging wholesalers and logistics companies, Safe Packaging is now in a position to build on its success and become the ‘go-to’ company for packaging solutions nationwide.”
Safe Packaging operates in Essex and Istanbul, from where it exports raw materials to be assembled in the UK. The firm supplies packaging solutions to a wide variety of customers ranging from blue-chip companies to small retailers.
