Just Eat Group’s Nicci Setchell joins mobile messaging startup Yapster as CFO
Yapster, the mobile messaging app for retail and hospitality teams, has announced the appointment of Nicci Setchell as its first chief financial officer. She will also take on chief operating officer responsibilities in a joint role.
Nicci joins from Just Eat Group where she spent the last six years, most recently as global strategic lead. Before that she was head of finance M&A and integration, completing 18 acquisitions.
Trethowans unveils four appointments as it continues to grow

She is joined by Sabrina Sleeman-Hiscock, who comes to Trethowans as a solicitor. Sabrina started her career in the legal industry as a paralegal in 2013 before completing a training contract and qualifying as a solicitor in March 2016.
Former MD of Visa UK & Ireland and director of innovation at Goldsmiths, join Red Badger advisory board
Kevin Jenkins, former MD of Visa UK and Ireland, and Dr Chris Brauer, director of innovation at Goldsmiths, University of London, have joined the advisory board of digital consultancy, Red Badger.

Sarah Hendry will take over from Helen Woolley, who leaves the CLA in November after seven years as Director General.
After studying modern languages at Oxford university, Sarah has spent her whole career in the civil service, mostly within Defra. She has been a director for the last 12 years and worked across a number of policy areas including water, flooding, rural development, Common Agricultural Policy reform, animal health, farming, and climate change. For the last six months that has included leading the clean-up in Salisbury after the novichok attack.
Lift-off for Bournemouth Airport with new managing director
Bournemouth Airport, owned and operated by Regional & City Airports (RCA), has appointed Stephen Gill as new managing director.
Previously Peel Airport’s chief executive officer for Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport, he was appointed following a rigorous selection process.
Mr Gill, who commenced his role on Thursday, 11th October, is responsible for the general management and strategic development of Bournemouth Airport.

BSI appoints John Hirst CBE as non-executive director and chairman designate
The British Standards Institution today announced that John Hirst CBE will be appointed as a non-executive director of BSI with effect from 15 October 2018.
From 1 January 2019, John will take over from BSI’s current chairman, Sir David Brown, who will complete his term on 31 December 2018. John will become a member of the audit and social responsibility committees on appointment.
