Mark Kelly of Eurocell
Derbyshire-headquartered PVC product manufacturer Eurocell is set to open a further 15 branches this year after getting off to a flier during the first half of 2017.
Eurocell has announced plans to open a further 15 sites in the second half of the year, having already opened 15 during the first half.
This will take the number of branches opened by Eurocell during 2017 to 30 and its total number of branches to 189.
The company saw pre-tax profits rise 6% to £1.9m during the period with total revenues rising 11% to £108m (2016: £97.2m).
Chief executive Mark Kelly believes this continued growth is testament to the firms continued investment in new sites and its people.
Kelly said: "Eurocell has enjoyed a good first half, gaining share in a flat RMI market. We reported robust financial results, delivered another consistent operational performance and continued to invest in the growth of our business.
“We are implementing selling price increases to mitigate raw material pricing pressure where possible, but the market does lag supplier price rises. We continue to manage underlying operating costs tightly, whilst progressing further our strategic priorities.
“As a result, despite some signs of market hesitancy, our expectations for the full year remain unchanged. We believe that our proven strategy and capabilities will enable Eurocell to deliver value to our customers and shareholders throughout the remainder of 2017 and beyond."
Eurocell manufactures its products at its head office site in Alfreton and sells them through its network of branches from Aberdeen down to Penzance.
