Aziz Rahman of Rahman Ravelli
Rahman Ravelli has once again been named by a legal guide as one of the UK’s elite firms for corporate fraud and financial crime.
The 2018 edition of the Chambers and Partners UK Guide has also named Rahman Ravelli’s founder Aziz Rahman as a star individual.
It says that Rahman is “one of the foremost financial crime solicitors in the UK’’ and a “charismatic, fearsome litigator who puts his clients at ease’’.
The guide praises Halifax-based Rahman Ravelli’s “diligent and effective counsel in high-profile prosecutions’’. It notes the firm’s impressive reputation for handling the most major global investigations and cross-border business crime cases but also names Rahman Ravelli as a leading firm for civil recovery cases.
It adds: “Its main strengths are that the firm has in its staff a huge wealth of experience and talent; no case is too small or too big. The firm seems to be able to take on the most complicated cases in its stride.’’
This year’s edition of the guide singles out Rahman Ravelli’s Nicola Sharp as an associate to watch. It praises her extensive experience and says she is “exceptionally good with clients’’ and “a thorough, careful and well-organised litigator’’.
The firm’s Neil Williams is also named as an associate to watch, due to his work in Rahman Ravelli’s successful and expanding London office.
Chambers praises his “strong record of handling high-stakes cases’’ and says “his authority over the facts is impressive and his relentless attention to detail is inspiring’’.
Chambers is recognised worldwide as an objective guide to the world’s best lawyers. Rahman Ravelli has been ranked in it every year this decade. This latest success comes just weeks after the firm received similar high rankings in The Legal 500; the highly-respected international legal guide.
Aziz Rahman said: “This success is down to absolutely everybody at the firm. We will always be about working intelligently and forcefully for our clients so it is pleasing that this has been recognised by Chambers.
“As ever, we look to build on this success."
