A new report by LinkedIn which analyses the UK’s best places to work has placed online retailer ASOS in top spot.
The LinkedIn Top Companies 2018 report takes into account the billions of actions taken by LinkedIn members and looks at four main pillars: interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.
From this data, the professional network pulls together a list of the top companies to work for in countries across the globe.
This year’s list saw ASOS crowned the UK’s best place to work. While 2017 proved a difficult year for British high street retailers, online clothes and accessories firm ASOS went from strength to strength.
In the last four months of 2017, the company’s sales have risen by 30% and its active customer count has reached a whopping 16 million. To support this upward trajectory, ASOS increased its headcount by 30% in 2017 and is looking to hire a further 1,000 employees this year.
The top five was rounded off by the BBC (2nd), leading management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company (3rd), luxury goods and jewellery brand Richemont (4th) and fellow luxury brand Kering (5th).
