Middlesbrough-based Python has launched The Student Living Company, based next to Teesside University, as the need for high quality accommodation continues to grow.
The rise in demand has been boosted by buoyant student communities at Teesside University, Durham University Queen's Campus and Newcastle University.
The company was officially launched with a party attended by over 100 student tenants at the Purple Pig in Middlesbrough. A number of new jobs have been created with more planned for 2016.
Peter Broome, partner at The Student Living Company, said: “We decided to establish the new business because student accommodation is a rapidly growing area and we have more student tenants than ever.
“We want to be able to service this community to the very best standards as our local universities are all thriving.
“It’s very important to us that students get exactly what they need in the best locations to suit them, hence we work closely with universities and local councils to ascertain these requirements and this is something we are going to build on from our base at Teesside University in 2016.”
Python Properties has provided accommodation for students since 1997 with over 6,000 tenants to date.
