North East lawyers consider their future

Legal professionals from across the North East are being urged to consider the impact of consolidation on the future of the industry, at a free BQ Breakfast Live event in Newcastle.

In the first half of 2015, 48 law firms announced mergers, the highest half-year total in nine years, according to the legal consultancy Altman Weil.

With the landscape ever changing, we bring together legal professionals and their trusted advisors to consider what the potential positives can be for regional firms, and how clients might react to consolidation within the industry.

The event, taking place on 11 February at the Biscuit Factory, will cover:

  • The future of the legal profession in an increasingly competitive market
  • Making a merger work as a platform for growth
  • How to ensure successful integration to manage expectations
  • Practical advice on preparing for merger or acquisition
    • Our panel of speakers include:

      • Peter Scott, Peter Scott Consulting
      • Andy Poole, Armstrong Watson
      • Jamie Martin, Ward Hadaway
      • Mike Holloway, Royal Bank of Scotland
      • Paul Bury, Endeavour Partnership
