Businesses urged to explore public sector opportunities
Cloud service provider Skyscape Cloud Services is urging ICT businesses across the UK to explore the opportunities available to sell to the public sector.
Skyscape Cloud Services is hosting a series of roadshows showcasing how the UK public sector is using cloud services to support the digital transformation of citizen services.
The sessions are for those that wish to sell ICT services to the UK public sector and those working in the public sector.
Given the concentration of government agencies and technology providers based in the North East one of the events will be held at the International Centre for Life in Newcastle on Wed 22 June.
All the events are chaired by a journalist and case studies will be presented by central government organisations, as well as successful suppliers such as BJSS, CACI, Capgemini, Equal Experts, Kainos, Soprasteria and Valtech.
The agenda will cover:
How is cloud being used successfully in the UK public sector? A case study from central government followed by Q&A
What’s next for cloud? How are cloud-native applications being delivered and how is cloud delivery changing with the introduction of new open source technologies, use of PaaS and a growing DevOps community
The legacy challenge: Another case study detailing the successful migration to cloud of a legacy application within central government followed by a Q&A
Security considerations of migrating to the cloud: Industry and legal experts will address buyers security concerns and the implications of new GDPR to cloud deployment
The sessions will be held from 12-3pm and a working lunch will be served.
