Provide Education, which has its head office in South Yorkshire, will start working with schools and job candidates in Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside later this summer.
The move into Greater Manchester comes hot on the heels of the agency’s recent expansion into the North East, which saw them open a new office in Teesside in July.
Provide Education currently works with over 2000 teachers, helping them to find supply teaching posts and permanent jobs in hundreds of schools across Yorkshire, the East Midlands and the North East.
As well as a head office in Barnsley and the new office in Teesside, the company also has branch offices in Worksop and Brighouse.
Laura Brown, senior consultant at Provide Education, is leading the expansion of the service into Greater Manchester from the Brighouse office. She said: “We’re all really looking forward to growing the business even further across the north, helping to get teachers into work, and schools to fill posts quickly, in time for the Autumn term.”
Provide Education was established in 2006 by recruitment specialist Katie Buckle and former teacher Barry Simmons. The company’s turnover has doubled in the last two years and with its expansions across the north of England, it is on track to exceed its target of 75% growth in 2016.
Barry said: “These are certainly busy times for Provide. It’s hard to believe that ten years ago we started out working with just 30 schools, and now, by the end of the year we expect that number to be near to 600.
“There’s no big secret to our success; we simply focus on providing an efficient service with people at the heart of what we do - whether that’s the schools we work with, the job candidates we find work for, or our own fantastic team.”
Provide Education offers a rapid response service for schools and children’s centres, providing emergency cover as well as planned supply cover.
