BQ’s annual celebration of the next generation of entrepreneurs will get even bigger next year, as the inspiring event goes national and visits the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
The BQ National Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year campaign brings together established entrepreneurs from across the UK with the challenge of identifying individuals who are representative of a next generation entrepreneur.
Once again, we’re asking you to rise to the challenge of nominating individuals who, in your eyes, have the potential to succeed in business and in turn make a positive contribution to local, regional and national economies. And this year, you can choose to nominate yourself too.
With two brand new categories, we look to BQ’s newest audiences in the North West and London & the South for new nominees, and our National Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year will be crowned on the night.
Taking place on Wednesday 22nd February 2017 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, and hosted by the BBC’s Mark Easton for the 4th year, the evening will allow us to hear the stories of our shortlisted entrepreneurs.
The BQ National Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year campaign is organised by BQ, a national brand recognised for celebrating and inspiring entrepreneurship to help businesses succeed and grow.
BQ’s Bryan Hoare believes this year’s entrants have the potential to cause some judging headaches: “We’ve featured more entrepreneurs in BQ this year than ever before, and that will translate into some really tough choices for our judges.
“More than ever, we’re really clear about what we’re looking for: an inspirer. Someone who doesn’t see problems, but instead sees opportunities, and who has it in them to really reach and motivate other people.
“We are seeking nominations across Scotland, the North East & Cumbria, the North West, Yorkshire, West Midlands and London & the South - and we’d like to hear from anyone who believes they have the entrepreneurial character to succeed in business.”
